Overview

CertGenius AI is an AI-powered certification-training SaaS operated by IEC Tech Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when learners, teams, administrators, and visitors use CertGenius AI.

CertGenius AI delivers adaptive practice, readiness estimates, study planning, sample questions, and course access. The service is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by CompTIA, ISACA, ISC2, AWS, Microsoft, PMI, real estate licensing bodies, or any other certification vendor unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Information we collect

  • Account and identity information, such as name, email address, authentication provider, organization membership, role, and profile preferences.
  • Learning activity, such as selected courses, diagnostic responses, practice answers, confidence ratings, readiness history, flashcard reviews, study sessions, lab activity, and progress events.
  • Organization and admin information, such as team membership, seat assignment, private course settings, pricing settings, audit events, and course publication records.
  • Uploaded or connected training materials when an authorized admin provides content for course generation or private certification authoring.
  • Payment and transaction metadata, such as purchased course, entitlement window, receipt identifiers, and billing status. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by CertGenius AI.
  • Support communications, including messages, attachments you choose to send, troubleshooting context, and resolution history.
  • Technical and usage data, such as IP address, device and browser information, log events, security events, cookie identifiers, referral pages, and performance diagnostics.

How we use information

  • Provide and personalize CertGenius AI, including diagnostics, adaptive practice, readiness scoring, study plans, course access, and support.
  • Authenticate users, create personal or company organizations, enforce role-based access, and maintain tenant isolation.
  • Process payments, fulfill course access, manage entitlements, handle refunds, and maintain records required for financial operations.
  • Generate, review, improve, and quality-check learning experiences using AI systems, while keeping the engine, prompts, graph, and full question bank server-side.
  • Secure the service, detect abuse, prevent scraping or exfiltration, investigate suspicious activity, and maintain audit logs.
  • Communicate service updates, support responses, administrative notices, security alerts, and policy changes.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce terms, and protect the rights, safety, and property of IEC Tech Inc., users, organizations, and the public.

AI-generated training content

CertGenius AI uses AI systems to help generate and evaluate questions, explanations, study guidance, readiness estimates, and related learning experiences. AI-generated content can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, so learners should use it as study support rather than as a certification vendor authority or a guarantee of exam performance.

Authorized uploaded materials may be processed by service providers that help parse, store, embed, retrieve, or generate training content. We use those providers to operate CertGenius AI and do not sell uploaded training materials or learner activity.

CertGenius AI is not a place to submit passwords, full payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, government identifiers, protected health information, confidential exam content, brain dumps, or material that violates a certification vendor candidate agreement. If such material is submitted, we may delete it, restrict access, or preserve records needed to investigate misuse.

How we share information

  • Service providers that host, secure, authenticate, process payments, deliver email, operate databases, support analytics, or provide AI and infrastructure services for CertGenius AI.
  • Organization administrators, managers, or owners when you use CertGenius AI through a team, enterprise, or government organization and the organization has rights to view assigned learner progress or manage seats.
  • Certification vendors or exam providers only if you direct us to share information or if a separate written agreement requires it.
  • Authorities, courts, regulators, or other parties when disclosure is necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate security issues, or enforce our Terms.
  • Successors or advisors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Tenant isolation and customer content

CertGenius AI is designed around organizations. A solo learner is a personal organization of one, and a company is an organization with many members and roles. Business data is scoped by organization and protected by database-level row security and server-side authorization.

An organization that uploads its own training materials keeps ownership of those materials. IEC Tech Inc. receives the rights needed to host, process, secure, transform, display, and support that content inside CertGenius AI for that organization.

Cookies and similar technologies

CertGenius AI uses essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, session continuity, course selection, checkout, organization context, and preferences. Optional analytics or performance tools may be used only where enabled to understand reliability and aggregate product usage. See the Cookie Notice for more detail.

The public cookie banner lets visitors keep essential cookies only or accept optional cookies where they are active. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, diagnostics, or course access from working.

Sale, sharing, and advertising choices

As of the date above, CertGenius AI does not sell learner personal information and does not share learner personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, IEC Tech Inc. will update this policy and provide legally required notices, opt-out choices, and browser-signal handling.

CertGenius AI may use ordinary service providers and processors to operate the product, such as hosting, authentication, billing, email, analytics, support, security, database, AI, and infrastructure providers. Those providers are used to provide the service, not to sell learner records.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide CertGenius AI, maintain learning records, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, preserve audit logs, and operate secure backups. Retention periods vary by data type, account status, organization settings, and legal requirements.

If an account or organization asks for deletion, we will process the request according to applicable law, contractual obligations, security needs, backup schedules, and any rights held by an organization administrator.

Your choices and rights

  • You may update account information through the product where available.
  • You may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of personal information, subject to verification and applicable legal limits.
  • You may manage cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent authentication or course access from working.
  • California and other state privacy laws may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, export, limit, or opt out of certain processing. IEC Tech Inc. will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
  • If you use CertGenius AI through an organization, some requests may need to be handled by that organization because it controls the relevant workspace or learning records.

International users

CertGenius AI is operated by IEC Tech Inc. in the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements and customer agreements.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, role-based access, server-side secrets, tenant isolation, audit logging, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so users and organizations should keep credentials protected and report suspected issues promptly.

Children

CertGenius AI is intended for adults, working professionals, teams, enterprises, and government training programs. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as CertGenius AI evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page, and we may provide additional notice when required by law or when changes materially affect user rights.
